Devon Specialist Painter Neil Martin represents something from
both a bygone era and something which
is new and exciting. Paint finishes
were very much the vogue in Victorian
times when silks and woods as wall
coverings were the norm in the large
homes of the wealthy. It was in the
smaller homes that paint effects were
used to mimic the opulence of the
wealthy.
Due to Neil's wealth of practical experience
and creative talent he has been approached
by the National Trust to help them
with the restoration of some of Devon's
fine country houses.
Neil was particularly proud to help
with the transformation of the Library
at Knighthayes Court, Tiverton, which
received publicity in Devon Life magazine,
the Daily Telegraph and on local television.
Neil represents a profession
where the unique skills of an
old craft are dying out (yet working
with him it is possible to revitalise
your home in ways you may not
have even dreamed of).
